Mount Tujuh Lake

Gunung Tujuh Lake is a lake located in Kerinci Regency, Jambi. precisely in Pelompek Village, Kayu Aro District. This lake is located in the Gunung Tujuh area, a mountain that is right behind Mount Kerinci. Gunung Tujuh is still included in the Kerinci Seblat National Park area which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For mountain climbers, Kerinci may be the main destination because the mountain is the highest active mountain in Indonesia [3805 masl], but for tourists who want to just enjoy the natural beauty of Kerinci Regency, Gunung Tujuh Lake can be considered as a tourist destination. in addition to having a stunning natural panorama, the path that goes through is also much easier than Mount Kerinci. Gunung Tujuh Lake is also one of the highest lakes in Indonesia, this lake is located at an altitude of 1,950 meters above sea level and is the number two lake in Indonesia after 13 small lakes located on Mount Talamau, West Sumatra at an altitude of 2750 m asl. With an altitude of almost 2 kilometers above sea level, you can imagine how cold the water of Mount Lake Seven in the morning. Even so, soaking in Mount Seven Lake with very cold water is a challenge for the climbers themselves.
